Mayweather vs Pacquiao
Finally the sports world is getting the fight they wanted. For the duration of both of the fighters' careers, it seems like this is the only fight their fans were looking forward to.
There has always been controversy dealing with the fight because of the rumors of Manny Pacquiao possibly taking steroids and not wanting to fight Mayewather, because he was requesting a blood test.
But recently, Mayweather and Pacquiao finally came to terms of making the long-awaited throw down. This fight may be as big as Ali vs Frazier in 1975.
The fight was took place much before of a lot of sports viewers time, but looking back at the epic battle between the two, definitely brings goosebumps thinking about what this fight could do for sports in general.
The fight will take place May 2, at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
In the sports' world opinion, this fight will once and for all settle who the real king of the ring is. Both fighters are at the peak of their careers and this fight could settle the drama and debate for our century. Although Pacquiao has lost to 5 people, and a bad one to Marquez, Manny is still regarded alongside Mayweather as the top fighters in boxing.
The people's champ, Floyd "Money" Maweather, usually a strikingly confident in his statements to the media has taken a more humbling standpoint to this fight saying, "On May 2 I have a tough test, Manny Pacquiao is a good fighter. I can't see how it will play out, I am not a psychic. But you best believe I will be in top shape and the best I can be. It's been a long road but the fight is on now."-USA Today
Pacquiao expressed that he believes, "this is what you are waiting for since five years ago, the fight is on and we're very excited. Both of us will undergo hard training and we will do our best on May 2 to make you happy."- ESPN
For those desiring to attend the bout, the cheapest ticket is the ballpark of $5000 just for nosebleed seats. ESPN sources have been told that for celebrities to get ringside seats they must have "at least a $250,000 credit line w/ MGM to even get consideration."
It may seem like an extremely expensive amount of money to spend for a sports outing, but if you have the coinage...to each his own.
